Fender Mandolin
After selling my Gibson A5G mandolin a few years back, I was looking for something more economical to replace it. I found this Fender FM-53S with case at a nearby dealer. No it's nothing like the Gibson, but the workmanship and fingering were the best of all the sub $800 mandolins I looked at.
The bridge did not allow for the strings to go as low as I liked so I did have to file it down about 1/8", other than that it is stock. There's a ton of good Korean made mandolins out there, but I am a sucker for the one that has the "Fender" logo on the headstock!
